Annual burlesque show by New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center performed June 18th Features a variety of local burlesque troupes including Fleur de Tease, Storyville Starlettes, Crescent City Cupcakes, Dames D’Lish, and Slow Burn Burlesque. MC was Ben Wisdom. Gallery also features crowd and vendor photos.

Show Photo Gallery: Bustout Burlesque featuring Charlotte Treuse
Classic burlesque show by Bustout Burlesque performed May 21st in the French Quarter at the House of Blues New Orleans. Featured performer was “Burlesque’s Intoxicating Flirt” Charlotte Treuse of Portland. Bustout performers included Foxy Flambeaux, Mina Mechanté, legend Wild Cherry, MC Nathan Kepner, and singer/performer Athena.

Show Photo Gallery: Slow Burn presents “The Big Sleazy”
This show by Slow Burn Burlesque was called “The Big Sleazy” and ran May 7th onstage at the Hi-Ho Lounge on St. Claude. Performances were centered around “Tales of New Orleans” themes, including vampirism, voodoo, hot sauce, French Quarter trash, dark spirits, etc... Performers include Bella Blue, Kitty Twist, Roxy LeRouge, Ruby Rage, Nona Narcisse and MC Ben Wisdom.

William Smith Jr. has been painting for a long time, but he didn’t start out by painting burlesque performers. The paintings shown here are a set of four he did about burlesque. Currently, he does landscapes, and has done a Mardi Gras series.
